Des has more than 35 years experience in the health service with senior roles across nursing, acute management and HIPE. Des is passionate in creating opportunities to engage with cross functional teams directly impacting service user experiences, safety and outcomes.

Jim has worked in Information Technology for 28 years with both the public and private sector in companies as diverse as Dell Computer Corporation, Meath county council, and PMPA. He has 14 years of experience with the HSE, working primarily within the OoCIO. He is a longtime advocate for improvement in Healthcare delivery supported by digital innovation. His role in the HSE Digital Transformation team is the management of the living labs programmes and Digital Innovation.
